Custom domains

To connect your own domain (or subdomain) to your site, you’ll need to point your DNS records for the domain to DocsToSite.

Root domain records

Below you can find the DNS settings that need to be included on your domain registrar’s (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc) or DNS provider’s (Cloudflare, Netlify, etc) website.

For a root domain like example.com you’ll need to add the following records:

Type

Name

Value

 A

@

76.76.21.21

 CNAME

www

cname.docstosite.com

⚠️ Make sure to remove any old A records for your root domain or CNAME entries for www in your DNS settings if your provider does not do this automatically.

Subdomain records

For a subdomain like blog.example.com add this record. The subdomain in this case would be “blog.”

Type

Name

Value

 CNAME

(your subdomain)

cname.docstosite.com

⚠️ Make sure to remove any old A records for your subdomain or CNAME entries for the subdomain in your DNS settings if your provider does not do this automatically.
